L’Asterisk is looking for dedicated volunteers to help with weekly space maintenance and support activities and events. By volunteering, you’ll make a big difference for the Coalition team and everyone using our space.

Volunteering is also a fantastic way to connect with the community and enjoy everything the space has to offer—free snacks, crafts, a clothing exchange, books, games, and more! You’ll also have access to resources shared by the groups organizing at L’Asterisk.

Each volunteer shift is three hours and takes place on Thursdays and Sundays from 3 pm to 7 pm.

Type of tasks

General tasks

General tasks in the space may include but are not limited to:

• Clothing exchange

  • Fold and place items according to size and category

• Refill shelves with lush products + goodie bags as needed

Weekly space clean

The weekly space cleaning includes:

• Bathroom:

  • clean the toilet

  • clean the sink

  • clean the mirror

  • clean the shower as needed

  • sweep + mop floors

• Kitchen + common area:

  • wipe down all surfaces

  • clean the microwave

  • sweep + mop floors

• Activity room:

  • fold blankets

  • sweep + mop floors

• Office:

  • sweep + mop floors

The space coordinator a will always be in the space during these hours so feel free to ask any questions or request help!

Activities

Helping with activities that are in the space or larger events that are outside the space

Includes: setting up for activities, assisting with activity tasks, and helping with cleanup afterward.
