Chinese knot making workshop
On October 17th Allegra is going to be teaching a free workshop on jewelry making at L’Asterisk ,1575 Atateken from 6pm-9pm. You will learn how to create a necklace perfect for everyday wear! Using a satin nylon cord and a bead centrepiece, participants will get to practice a basic type of Chinese knot using colours of their choice. Free for 2SLGBTQIA+ youth ages 18-35. Our 4th edition of L’Asterisk youth spa day is back! This edition is our biggest one yet!
The free services this time are : braids, manicures, retwist or interlocs for your locs ( for BLACK people only) tattoos and haircuts for youth ages 18-35!
Jeunesse Lambda -Competance de based avec Lou
Jeunesse Lambda regularly host socialization, discussion, education and skill-building evening activities for 2SLGBTQIA+ youth aged 14 to 30.
Public transportation tickets (STM), risk-reduction material (condoms, dental dams, lube, gloves, needles), snacks and a micro-wave are free in the space. It’s also possible to borrow books from the LGBTQ+-themed library.
Foraging
This session is all about discovering the plants available to us during the Summer. We will discuss foraging best practices, their medicinal values, and a few preparation methods.
